Breeder: SportHorses NW, WA, USA

Adelina NW, or "Cookie" as we call her, is a great package of everything fun! She is bold, yet easy to handle, fearless and loves to move, jump, work. She is going through versatile training so she can show us what her favorite discipline will be, but we predict the answer will be "everything". This is a fantastic sport horse for competition, and she has the pedigree to make a valuable brood mare as well.

The sire Leonidas *Pg* is an institution not only in the Trakehner breed. He was bred and approved in the US, but also approved in Germany, where his oldest offspring (from frozen semen) are now coming under saddle and doing very well. "Leo" competed up to international Grand Prix dressage with his breeder and owner, Hilda Gurney. And he kept his own performance promise as a sire as well - a significant nuber of his offspring are FEI dressage horses up to Grand Prix, Trakehner and other warmbloods.

As a direct son of the excellent sport horse sire Condus *E*, Leo gets special attention. Condus was one of the rare sources of Ramsez AA blood in the Trakehner breed. Ramzes AA must be named as the single most important Arabian in warmblood breeding ever. From the Westfalian Vornholz stud, he sired a stunning number of exceptional stallion sons, which in the Holsteiner breed, generated world class show jumpers and iin the Westfalian and Rhineland breed, produced world class dressage horses. The "R" in Rubinstein is just as much Ramzes as the "R" in Ramiro! The Ramzes AA daughter Caravelli, bred at Klosterhof Medingen, founded an especially string show jumper and eventer family within the Trakehner breed, to this day. It is probably this versatility that most impresses about this particular stallion line.

Leo's dam Libella V *E* is an ATA Exeptional mare - and rightly so. As pointed out on the pedigree page of our mare Lazara, Libella's offspring are very talented dressage horses up to Grand Prix level, and not only Leo counts. Anf oc ourse Libella is also dam of Lazara's sire Larazzi. Dam sire Siegbert was the son of an Anglo Trakehner mare, and by the 100 day test Champion and Westfalian State Stud stallion Garamond. Garamond is mostly known as the 2nd dam sire of Florestan I. And most interestingly, Garamond's dam Livia is also the dam of Libella's 2nd dam Liberia - so we have very close (and successful) line breeding to the same dam. Siegbert in turn was an excellent performance horse sire. The mare family in the background of Libella is the O358 Lore (Tornau-Lahnsdorf) family. This smaller private East Prussian line is strongly represented in competition by the elite stallion Lehndorffs (by E.H. Marduc, so again close relation to the double Marduc blood in Annaliese LS *M*), and the WBFSH ranked international Grand prix dressage horse Ladroneur (by Schwadroneur). The latest representative of this family is the exceptional, now approved young Danish Riding Horse Champion Lacroze (by E.H. Buddenbrock). Overall, taken together the 4 generations of offspring Libella has produced by now (36 horses), 13 horses have reached advanced - Grand Prix levels in competition. Three offspring are approved stallions (Leonidas, Larazzi and the top Hunter Lauritz).

More about the dam Annaliese LS *M* can be found at her own page.
